What is Endometriosis?

Endometriosis is a common condition where tissue that behaves like the lining of the womb (called endometrium) is found in other parts of the body, including the ovaries, fallopian tubes, inside the tummy, and in or around the bladder or bowel.

"This growth bleeds during your period. But there is no way for the bl00d to leave the body - causing intense pain’’ The pain I feel almost every day is like a knife on fire carving my insides out like a pumpkin.

I've spent days, sometimes even weeks, in bed because I physically cannot walk.

As if someone has just set off fireworks in your lower abdominal area, exploding your insides.

We go through these surgeries and the recovery process, only for it to grow back.

People haven't heard of this condition, despite it being so common.

It's so important we talk about it more, so other women don't feel as alone as I did.
